EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
In simplest terms, EFT is an emotional form
of acupuncture except that we don't use
needles. Instead, we tap with the
fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points while
the client is "tuned in" to the
problem, and bringing up the emotion.
When I first took a course in Emotional Freedom
Technique I was a bit skeptical. "This
is just too easy
and fast to really work." I now admit, I was wrong. In that course I
tapped for fear of
heights. Shortly after the course I was at an amusement park riding
a roller
coaster. As the coaster was going up the hill I noticed something was very
different. I was no longer afraid. My fear of heights was gone. It was
after this that
I began to use EFT in combination with hypnotherapy. The
results are profound. I
have helped clients with severe depression and
anxiety who could not be helped by
any other means. I have used it very
successfully with client's to remove emotional
blocks in cases of severe
chronic pain. Clients have experienced complete relief of
pain.
I have used it combination with hypnotherapy to affect positive change in
all
areas of clients lives. It is a very empowering technique! How

Q: How does EFT work?
A: It's very easy to understand. I am
sure that you have heard of EKG or EEG. EKG
measures the minute electrical activity
produced by the heart. EEG does the same only
measures the electrical current
produced by the brain. This current travels along a
series of circuits called meridians.
When you have something bothering you that you
have not worked through there is a
repression of emotion in your body. The stuck or
repressed emotion creates a block of
flow of this electrical current that flows throughout
you. Much the same way if
you kinked a garden hose, the water stops flowing.
If you kink your electrical current
flow from stuck emotions the current can not flow
and it feels bad to us. EFT is a
wonderful way to unblock this stuck emotion and renew
this current flow. Ok so you
want to know how to do it, well just hold on I need to
explain one more thing first.
Take a professional batter who all of
a sudden gets into a slump. Why? He has been
hitting the ball since he was a child
and all the sudden he is having trouble. The
reason is what is known as
Psychological Reversal or PR for short.
PR is that current running though your
body going in the wrong direction. If you put
batteries in a remote control
backwards what happens? Nothing right? Same happens
to you when you try to get help for
your health issues nothing happens you notice no
change not matter what you try.
It is because your polarity of your current running
though you is reversed. What
causes this? Good question! It is caused by negative
thinking. When you continually
focus negative thoughts about yourself or a subject
the polarity gets reversed. Ok,
been there, done that, now how do I fix it?
Many times in life we are taught that
anything good must be hard and painful to get.
Well, this is one of those things that proves that
that statement is not true in all cases.
EFT is wonderfully simple to learn and one of the
most powerful techniques known to
man or woman.
First write down your issue on a piece
of paper. This is the first step of getting it from
within you to out of you and onto paper. Now
take that issue and break it down into as
small and specific parts as possible.
Now always start the sentence with:
"Even though I have this
(insert your small parts of problems or issues here) I deeply
and completely accept myself."
Now rate how much you feel this issue
from 0 to 10. 0 being I no longer feel this
issue is part of my life, it not
longer bothers me, to 10 I can't imagine it feeling worse.
Now write down your starting number
for each small part of each issue.
Now find the sore spot (see picture) and
rub this area with two fingers in a circular motion
as you repeat the phrase:
"Even though I have this
Insert your small parts of problems or issues here
I deeply
and completely accept myself." (Repeat three times)
Now just focus on your problem, feel it bothering
you, till you feel that emotion coming up and now say:
"This
insert your problem or
issue here " as you tap down though the
following points
starting with the eyebrow and working down.
Tap each point 5 to 7 times as you say
and feel what's bothering you.
