                         What is Regression Hypnotherapy?

When we are dealing with issues that a client has.  No matter what issue a person has, that issue began somewhere.  It is also pretty clear that if we had worked though what ever those issues are we would not be having that problem now. Many times we are not consciously aware of where the issue began or what other events compounded it.  Those issues can show up as emotional, such as anxiety attacks, panic attacks, chronic stress, depression, fears, trauma, anger/rage. Those issues can also be physical manifestations such as chronic pain, allergies, chronic and terminal illness of all types.  Without getting to the roots of why these issues started, these people are left suffering with only prescription drugs to cover up some of the symptoms. This is similar to going through a garden and pulling the weeds out by their tops.  We know they are going to grow back. This is where regression hypnotherapy comes in.  Regression means to go back. It is no different with regression hypnotherapy.  Everyone will agree that each and every issue they have has a beginning. It is a process of getting to the part of the mind where the issues were created. This part of the mind is known as the subconscious. Every health issue or problem has an emotional beginning.  It is the repression of this emotion that is causing a person to be in the condition they are. To get to health you must go back to this beginning, get the emotion out, and work through this event and any compounding events. After releasing this emotion on a subconscious level and doing deep level forgiveness of others and self, the person then is in a much greater sense of peace, love and forgiveness.

                               The Mind Model

Jerry F. Kein and Stephen C. Parkhill have come up with what I found to be the best, and simplest, way to understand how the mind works and how problems get started. There is a book called "Answer Cancer" by Stephen C. Parkhill available in e-book format available for download at www.omnihypnosis.com for only ten dollars.  It explains how this all works and so much more.  I highly suggest downloading it!

Here is how it all works

Imagine if you will the conscious mind surrounding the subconscious mind. As it does this, it protects this subconscious mind from the whole outside world.

Our outer conscious mind is our Rational, Analytical, Thinking and Judging part of our mind. The subconscious mind does not rationalize.

It is our ability to rationalize why we do the things that we do that keeps us at some level of peace. When we lose the ability to rationalize our actions we are no longer at peace.

Our conscious mind also is the part that analyzes everything; it finds logic in everything. The subconscious mind does not analyze or find logic.

The conscious mind is the part that thinks and judges everything. The subconscious mind does not judge or think.

Ok so what have you learned so far? The conscious mind is the outer part of the mind that protects the subconscious mind. The conscious mind thinks, judges, is rational and analytical. The subconscious is none of these things.

Good! Now what else is in the conscious mind? The conscious mind is where you find your will power and temporary memory.  Will power, being in the conscious mind, is pretty weak in its ability to get past the barrier of subconscious mind known as the critical faculty. This barrier stops suggestions from coming into the subconscious mind when you already have a suggestion on that particular subject. It accepts the first thought or feeling on any given subject at the time of conception on.  This thought or feeling is now stored in the subconscious and you now have a belief on that particular subject. As long as your focus is not narrowed on something, this critical faculty stops each and every suggestion on any subject and compares it to what you already have.  If this suggestion is like what you already have it is accepted. If it is different than what you have it is rejected. Each time a suggestion is accepted, your belief on that subject grows and the subconscious puts more focus on achieving whatever has the most amount of compounding. When you get negative suggestions or misconceptions on subjects it creates problems though out life, until it is changed on a subconscious level.

Lets take an example of this working:  A father brings his 10-year-old in to my office for his allergies.  His eyes were watering and swollen, he had a runny nose and scratchy throat.  Now, if you had to pick an emotion of what this sounds like, would you say happiness? No, how about sadness and crying? Yes, you got it!  Under hypnosis we bring up the feeling that has everything to do with the issue for which he came.  We regress back to the very first event that had anything to do with his allergy.  He is three years old and going for a walk with his mom and their dog.  It was fall and the wind was blowing.  Then "Three" noticed the leaves falling off the trees.  "Three" had no idea that this was a natural thing and he thought the trees were all dying. He welled up and really started crying very hard as the trees which he loved so much were all dying.  This misconception was stored in the subconscious mind and reinforced each and every fall.  His subconscious mind manifests the same symptoms which were watering and swollen eyes, a runny nose and scratchy throat. This my friend is the reason for all his allergies.  I have worked with every type of allergy I have ever heard of including MCS. They are all the result of the subconscious mind perceiving that we are in the same type of situation with which we once had an aversion to.  Most allergies can be worked through in one to two sessions.

Temporary memory is in our conscious mind and is a weak and finite memory when compared to the permanent memory stored in the subconscious.  Permanent memory in the subconscious stores every piece of information through all five of your senses from every event that has ever happened to the experience of your soul.

Taking a look at what else is in the subconscious mind, we find that this part of the mind is the single most powerful goal achieving agency known to man or woman.  It achieves goals whether it is as simple as picking up a glass of water or a career goal.  Our subconscious mind achieves whatever goals are in there.  As you learned earlier, the part of our mind that thinks is our conscious mind not the subconscious mind.  Think of the subconscious mind as being the most fertile soil in the world - it does not care if suggestions are positive or negative; it will manifest whatever is there.

Taking a look at what also is in our subconscious mind, this is where our imagination is located.  If you ask people "what's your imagination?", most people would say "well that's my creativity".  This is true - it is your creativity.  But is much more than that, it is your own individual perception of the entire world around you and your perception of yourself in this world (your self-image).

Next is your emotions. All your emotions are stored in your subconscious and are there to help and guide you throughout life.  It is very easy under hypnosis to bring up emotion connected to any issue and travel back to the very root of how that issue began. We generally go back though compounding events till we get the very first event that started the issue to begin with.  We then change perceptions from negative to positive working though all the events until the problem is no longer there and we have health. Releasing repressed emotion is a big part of the work that we do.  Often this takes us into deep forgiveness work on a subconscious level.  This is a very healing experience and some have said they feel as though the weight of the world has been lifted off of them! I go though a very thorough explanation of how it all works in the first session.
